Kaunas is home to the only Lithuanian team in the Euroleague "Zalgiris", legendary players, such as Arvydas Sabonis, and houses the largest indoor arena in the Baltics. Naturally, KTK also cherishes and promotes Lithuanian basketball traditions and invites its students to get involved in the activities of the basketball team, enjoy active leisure and take part in competitions and tournaments. |

Viktoras Ašmenskas Aviation Modeling Club where students interested in aviation can get acquainted with electronically controlled models and their development, visit partner companies and educational institutions, including the glider factory and the Baltic Aviation Academy, where pilots of passenger planes are trained. Viktoras Ašmenskas (1912-2016) was a graduate of Kaunas Higher Technical School (former name of Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences), famous Lithuanian engineer, aviator, activist of resistance to Nazi and Soviet regimes. The Club has been named after to remind its members their obligation to restore, preserve and nurture the traditions of Lithuanian aviation. |
