Engineer of the Project Administration Department at the transport infrastructure construction company "Kauno tiltai",

the largest transport infrastructure construction company in the Baltics

Graduated from Road Engineering of Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences in 2013

"After graduating from KTK, I started working for the transport infrastructure construction company AB "Kauno tiltai" as an engineer of the project administration department. I still work in this company today. KTK has left the best impressions. I am very happy to be able to participate in their events and to stay in touch with the teachers even now. The studies were not easy, but I dedicated myself to them completely. In the second year, when I started studying more specialised subjects, I realised that this was my thing and have been working in this field ever since."

 Povilas Bonkevičius

Head of KTK Racing Division; lecturer in the Automobile Technical Maintenance programme at KTK

Graduated from Automobile Technical Maintenance of Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences in 2013

"I have always been interested in sports and engineering and had a very clear idea of what I wanted to study. I chose Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences as there were more practical activities and placements compared to studies at a research university. During my studies, KTK invested a lot in the development of their infrastructure: modern labs were established in collaboration with Bosch, Volkswagen and local brands. Inspired by teachers and supported by the administration, we created a club for automobile enthusiasts in 2014. This was the most memorable event that occurred during my studies. We prepared vehicles for events, took part in amateur motorsport competitions as participants and marshals, collaborated with other teams. To date KTK Racing division has had over 100 students involved in our activities winning 32 prizes in racing events. We aim to popularise motorsports, involve the youth into the activities of our Academy and compete nationally and internationally. In 2019 a documentary titled „United to Race” was filmed to present our journey and activities to the public."

Benas Berkmonas

East region business development director at "Kelprojektas"

"I started my career as a technician and initially I was responsible for handling documentation and other work that needed to be done. I worked as a technician for a couple of years before graduating from KTK with a professional bachelor’s degree. After graduating, I became an engineer. I worked with it for quite a long time, about 5 years. During this period I also completed my master's studies. While working as an engineer, I was responsible for technical drawings, supervising sections of projects, calculations, as well as teaching at Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences. I later received an offer to take up the position of project manager and worked in this position for about 3 years. Then, I became the head of the company's road design department, and since mid-2018 I have been responsible for the entire Road Department and the Swedish market."
