 New possibilities for internationalisation

Kaunas technical college develops a network of international partners

Kaunas technical college is actively developing its network of international partners in order to improve the quality of studies and provide conditions for international mobility of students and lecturers. The cooperation agreements are signed with the following institutions: Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena (Spain), that provides engineering, architecture and business administration studies, Instituto Politecnico da Guarda (Portugal), where students can choose studies of technology science, tourism and medicine, South-East Finland University of Applied Sciences (Suomija), providing studies of engineering, business administration, culture and arts, Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), the largest engineering university in Czech Republic,  and University of Cagliary (Italy), which is founded in 1606 and provides many different study programmes including civil engineering.  

Kaunas technical college has signed a cooperation agreement with Technical university of Sofia (Bulgaria). Technical University of Sofia is considered to be the first higher technical school in Bulgaria. For more than 66 years the University has been preparing specialists in the field of mechanical, electrical, automatics, transport, management and other areas of engineering. An important role for increasing the level of teaching, scientific and applied research activities of the Technical University of Sofia is played by the University's cooperation with large transnational companies such as Siemens, Ericsson, Microsoft, Daimler/Benz, etc. Students of Transport and mechanical engineering area and Electrical and electronics engineering area study programme departments are provided with perfect possibilities to both study under Erasmus+ mobility programme and visit Bulgaria.

Double-Degree Diploma studies at Kaunas technical college

Kaunas technical college and VIA University College (Denmark) have signed a cooperation agreement in April, 2014. One year later this agreement was reinforced with a Double-Degree Diploma agreement. According this agreement, students from both higher education institutions have a possibility to study and be awarded with two diplomas. In 2015/2016 Artūras Pranskūnas, a student of Civil engineering study programme, has studied for two semesters at VIA University college and prepared his Graduation thesis here. This year Johan Zacharias Egholm came to study to Kaunas technical college. During the meeting both students shared their impressions about studies and students‘ life, their free time and possibilities to know more about Lithuania. A short moment of the meeting and they came back to their work: Johan studies Civil engineering and the secrets of students‘ life, and Artūras prepares to defend his Graduation thesis.

Kaunas technical college has signed an interinstitutional agreement with Czestochowa University of Technology (Poland)   It is the largest state university in the region which develops long-term traditions, and which is among the top universities in Poland of a similar profile. Czestochowa University of Technology is a higher education institution with a team of experienced staff and high-standard facilities.
